2012 Sauvignon Blanc, Daisy Hill, Marlborough, New Zealand
$10.99/bottle $8.79/bottle (mix six $)
In 1990, Allan Scott Family Winemakers was born. Allan and Catherine oversee every aspect of the venture. Son Josh is the winemaker, while daughters Sara and Victoria are, respectively, viticulturist and marketing manager. Within Marlborough, the Rapaura area along the northern edge of the Wairau Valley has become particularly prized. This is where they established the family‘s vineyards, all in close proximity.
Very intense nose, with riper fruit than most Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough. Medium bodied with deeper flavors than just grapefruit. Nice spice and minerality on the finish. Spice comes though with less of a chill.
Drink with spicy foods like Asian and Mexican.

2012 Vinho Verde, Lima, Portugal
$10.99/bottle $8.79/bottle (mix six $)
João Portugal Ramos is Portugal’s most famous winemaker. Before he began making his own wines, he was a pioneering wine consultant. In the decades that Ramos has consulted, he almost single-handedly opened Portuguese winemaking to the benefits of modern technologies with an emphasis on low yields, and the preservation of a grape’s natural fruit flavors.
He began his own vineyard and winery in 1990 with 1250 acres in Alentejo. This wine is his newest project, a tribute to the Lima River which runs through Galicia in northwestern Portugal. Pale lemon-yellow in color, aromas of lemongrass and Mediterranean herbs complement undertones of white tea and minerality. On the palate, crisp, zesty acidity and mouth-filling flavors of citrus fruits push a long, refreshing finish.
This is a perfect patio wine for the summer months.

2010 Chardonnay, NxNW, Washington
$14.99/bottle $11.99/bottle (mix six $)
NxNW: North by Northwest, represents wines made from inland grape growing appellations of the Columbia River Basin of Oregon and Washington. The NxNW winemakers have developed strong, creative relationships with growers and fellow winemakers in the Columbia River Appellation and throughout the northwest viticultural region – leading to this innovative project. NxNW captures the essence of terroir, the character of the people, and the quality of the wines from this great new emerging winegrowing region.
The fruit for the 2010 Chardonnay comes from the Wallula Benches region.
Great with grilled pork.

2011 Pinot Noir, Block 9, St Helena California
$12.99/bottle $10.39/bottle (mix six $)
Block 9 is a winery that focuses on the Pinot Noir grape. The wine is made by industry veteran Larry Levin. After completing his Enology degree at UC Davis, Larry spent seventeen years at Dry Creek Vineyard. He has since covered the globe by making wine in New Zealand, Chile, and Australia across all price points and styles. For the previous nine years Larry was head of winemaking at Icon Estates where he oversaw the Franciscan, Mt. Veeder, Robert Mondavi, Estancia, Ravenswood, and Quintessa brands.
Great for burgers on the grill.

2010 Deadbolt, Deadbolt Wine, Hopland CA
$12.99/bottle $10.39/bottle (mix six $)
Big, bold blends are the current trend in everyday red wine. This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Petite Syrah and Syrah. By bringing these varietals together, the assets of each individual grape are enhanced. Cabernet is powerful, Merlot seductive, Zinfandel is untamed, Petite Syrah is aromatic and Syrah has great depth. With the deft hand of winemaker Phillip Laffer, the grapes are in harmony and the wine is true to its California heritage.
Great with steaks on the grill.

2011 l’Apostrophe, Chante Cigale, Rhone, France
$16.99/bottle $13.59/bottle (mix six $)
Chante Cigale is great producer of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. l’Apostrophe, the ‘simple’ everyday blend from the estate is a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Cinsault, 10% Syrah. It has a gutsy, burly style, with dark roasted aromas and ample toast running through the blackberry and black currant fruit core. There’s a roasted chestnut note on the lightly firm finish.
Drink with roasted chicken.
