Klinker Brick Wine Tasting

On Friday February 15, from 6 to 8pm, Wine makers and owners Steve and Lori Felten will be making their second appearance in our store. Please come by and join us in tasting their two Zinfandels, Old Vine and Old Ghost and, of course, their Syrah, named for their daughter.

A little over a year ago we introduced this little known winery and told you to expect great things.  And you now, the rest of the world is on to our secret. In the coming Wine Spectator, dated March 31, 2010 Klinker Brick Syrah “Farrah” will be listed in the “Smart Buys” section with a 91 point score. We turned many of you onto this wine last year when it was first brought into Massachusetts but now the rest of the world will know.

Steve and Lori, are fifth generation grape growers in the Lodi region, who continue the tradition of cultivating “Old Vine” Zinfandel vineyards that their ancestors planted in the early 1900’s. In 2000, they made the decision to start their own winery with the mission to produce exceptional Zinfandel. They continue to make wine from all of their vineyard blocks, culling only the very best lots for bottling Klinker Brick and designated vineyard wines
