Wine of the Month Club – Buy it for yourself or Give it as a Gift

O ur philosophy in the store has been, and always will be, to choose wines that we feel proud to represent and stand behind. Some of you may not know this, but Sheri and Michael are the ones who personally source the wine, write the newsletters and tasting notes and even write all of the wine descriptions on the shelves and bins.  That’s why it’s always so easy for us to tell you, “I love this wine and think you will, too!” Because of this unique philosophy, a group of customers came to us and asked if we would start a wine club.  And we said, why not! We started the Wine of the Month Club last year and it was so successful that we are continuing it this year.

The bottom line objective of the Wine of the Month Club is to place truly terrific wines into the hands of our members. Last year we showed our members that we could pick out (from the dozens of wines we taste each month) wines that would please any wine enthusiast, from the novice to the seasoned wine lover.

We’ll do all of the upfront “work,” of tasting and sifting through the wines, to offer only the best of the best from boutique wineries throughout the world. We will include an array of wine from the US, France, Italy, Spain, South Africa, and Australia just to name a few – all with the same objective, to deliver exceptional wines from small-family owned wineries.

Some of the wines that we choose may be in limited supply and only offered to our wine club. Others will be new finds that we plan to stock in the store for the future. In any case, you will always be among the first to see new arrivals and in some case you will be the only customers to see the wines.  All you will have to do is be ready to drink these wines around the first week of every month!

Memberships are very flexible, so you can try them out for a few months or sign up for several. There is no “membership fee” and you can cancel anytime – bottom line: you have nothing to lose. The whole goal is to provide wine lovers with great wine from real working boutique vineyards at a great price.

For payment options you may choose to pay up-front for the entire series, or give us a credit card that will be charged monthly. The full year discounts are only valid when paid up front.

How Does it Work:

As a member of Wine of the Month Club, you will receive 2 intriguing wines each month. In the Vintner or Cellar Series, you have a choice of:

One RED and one WHITE –OR– 2 different RED wine selections   for the month –OR– 2 different WHITE wine selections for the month.

• Each selection will be chosen and based on Sheri and Michael’s tasting criteria: Our philosophy is to choose wines that we feel proud to represent and stand behind. We have and always will strive to offer the best wine selection possible (at the best price). It is for this reason that we insist on tasting all of the wines before they are put on our shelves. On average we taste at least 50 wines each and every month.It is from these fifty wines that we choose what goes into the wine club, on the shelf and the newsletter specials. While it frustrates some of our salespeople, yet delights our customers, almost no wines will make it into the store without it being tasted by one of us.

• A MONTHLY WINE LETTER and PASSWORD PROTECTED area on our website will tell the story behind your wine:  In addition to a description of the wine, background information on the winery, the winemaker and the region of origin will be given. The Wine Letter will also include food matches especially selected for the monthly wines selected.
  

• Wine Subscriptions will begin in January 2011: Purchases of the Wine of the Month Club (WOMC) can start immediately. The first group wines will be available for the week of January 5th In general, the wines will be available for pick-up on or around the 10th of each month.

• Confirmation emails for WOMC selections:  Each month when the product is in the store and available for pick up we will send you an email telling you that your selection is ready. The email will also include the wine newsletter specific to your wines. At that time, if you are on the monthly charge program your credit card will be charged with the appropriate amount.
  

• Special Offers for Wine Club Members:  As a member of the WOMC you will be entitled to a 20% discount on six or more of the same bottles from that month’s selection as supplies allow. (You even have the option to purchase the wines you didn’t select.) The 20% offer ends at the last day of each month.
  

• Special Limited Wines:
  Some of the wines chosen for the club are in limited supply and will only be offered to our wine club member. Others will be new finds that we plan to stock in the store for the future. In any case, members will always be among the first to see new arrivals and in some cases will be the only customers to even see the wines.

• Subscription Terms:
  For the WOMC  the credit card we put on file will be charged on or about the 15th of the month prior to the order. (Ex. February orders will be charged on or around the 15th of January)  If you want, you may cancel at any time. All cancellations must be prior to the 15th of the proceeding month or you would be charged for that month.
