Pinot Grigio

Pinot Grigio

Villa Marchese
Friuli-Venezia-Giulia, Italy

This Pinot Grigio is from the region of Friuli-Venezia-Giulia in the northeastern corner of Italy. It borders Veneto, Austria and Slovenia. Over the years the region has been quite susceptible to invasion. Hence, this is a multicultural area. The wines are made in a little plumper and riper style, as compared with the wines of Alto Adige to the northwest.

If labels can define in color what a wine may taste like, this label defines this pinot grigio. Tangerine and citrus with white peach and stones, very light, very clean and refreshing. Perfect for everyday consumption. Drink with poached scallops.
