Mendoza, Argentina

RJ Vinedos is a family owned winery run by its founder, Raul Joffre, and his four daughters. The winery began in 1996 when Raul purchased a traditional cement tank winery in the Perdriel region of Lujan de Cuyo and a small vineyard in the Los Sauces region of the Uco Valley. They now have 60 hectares in the Uco Valley as well as holdings in Alto Agrelo and up north in the Calchaquíes de Cafayate Valley, la Salta. The vineyards are all sustainably farmed and no chemicals are used, in both the vineyards and the winery. The winemaker Mariano Cignoli has a minimalistic approach as he believes in letting the grapes have their own voice, and looks for purity of fruit with little intervention. Reunion is a wine that is made to be enjoyed around the dinner table as an everyday wine that expresses both fruit and terroir to achieve a balanced finish.

Currently we are selling Malbec and Bonarda only. As they become available, we will be adding Torrontes and Tinto, a blend of Malbec, Bonarda and Merlot.

2011 Malbec

This sustainably farmed, single vineyard estate wine is composed of 100% hand-harvested Malbec from the Los Sauces of Mendoza. It has a deep, concentrated red color with purple hints. It is a very expressive wine with ripe, fruity aromas of plum and cherry, as well as notes of chocolate. Reunion Malbec is soft and round on the palate with velvety and mature tannins; it has a well balanced and full-bodied long finish.

2010 Bonarda

The Bonarda grapes are from Alto Agrelo in Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza. Reunion Bonarda has a deep purple color with black and violet hues. The wine explodes with blackberry, strawberry, and currants on the nose which leads to rich, round fruit and a touch of white chocolate and tobacco on the palate and a smooth, balanced finish.

Bodegas Latue Spain

Bodegas Latúe began as San Isidro Cooperative in 1954. Between 1954 and 2007, the Cooperative membership grew to more than 600 experienced vine growers focused on preserving the integrity of producing quality products. With the increased demand for their products, more than 50 years of experience and the growth of a great human team, in 2007 San Isidro implemented an “export” business model. This enabled a greater disbursement of San Isidro Cooperative products to regions outside of Spain.  The “Bodegas Latúe” name represents the quality and environmental care that is a historical way of Bodegas Latúe doing business. Organic wine, ecological or biological is wine that is produced from grapes cultivated and harvested without man-made additives. They do not include synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. The process of harvesting and creating wine at the winery is also part of the process that defines organic wine. Maintaining complete separation between conventional grapes and organic grapes is a very important part of creating organic wine. They continue this separation through crushing, soaking filtering and fermentation. It  remains separate from the growth in the vineyard through the  serving of their organic wine.
