2011  Zenato Pinot Grigio Verona, Italy
Straw yellow in color with greenish highlights, and a delicate bouquet. This is a wine to be enjoyed young when one can best appreciate its zesty fruitiness. Refreshing and soft with a smooth, dry finish, this versatile Pinot Grigio is a great choice for any occasion, but ideal with hors d’ouvres, soups and fish.

2010 Vinho Verde Famega, Minho, Portugal
Refreshing, crisp with a tingly sparkle taste of apple tartness from the cool luscious Vinho Verde DOC region of North Western Portugal. Fâmega Vinho Verde has a delicate citrus flavor like the fragrance of a summer garden.
It’s so clear it almost looks like water – except with the slightest of green tinges. Slight, as well, the effervescence in the glass – but it’s there, and it makes this wine even crisper and lighter on the palate, and more fun to drink. Flavors are Granny Smith apple, yellow Sweet-Tart and an inclination toward herbs and Honeydew. The alcohol level is a smoking low 9.5%, making it really too easy to have a second glass, or even a third.

2010 Lafage Cote Est, Roussillon, France
Côte Est, literally Eastern Slope, is a blend of Grenache Blanc, Chardonnay and Marsanne.  Although the blend changes from year to year, it is always centered on the Grenache Blanc.
The Lafage 2010 Cote Est is delightfully scented with honeysuckle and iris, and its palate combination of juicy lime with the bite of cress, tangerine rind, and persistent inner-mouth florality. While it is 13% alcohol the overall body and texture suggests a wine that is much lighter and brighter. Drink with roast pork.

2008 Midnight Cellars Full Moon Red, Paso Robles, California
Full Moon Red is a blend of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The color is a beautiful garnet and the nose is wonderfully fruity with ripe red raspberry and fresh strawberry, with hints of earth and minerals. The mouth feel is light and smooth with strawberry cream flavors mingling with spice, raspberry and plum. Great with anything on the grill and excellent with charred broiled pork chops.

2010 Lost Angel Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles, California
Dusty black cherry and licorice aromas make way for rich, concentrated fruit flavors and smooth oak tannins.

2011 Boekenhootskloof  Wolftrap, Franschhoek, South Africa
A soft, ripe, friendly style, with a mix of mulled red and black cherry fruit laced with modest spice and toast hints on the open-knit finish. Syrah, Mourvèdre and Viognier.

2010 The Crossings Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand
Terrifically juicy, with Key lime, honeydew melon, passion fruit and pink grapefruit flavors that are ripe, round and very focused. Orange blossom notes give this extra grace.

2010 Standing Stone Chardonnay, Hector, New York
Indian lore says the Oneida Indians followed a rolling stone until it stopped and that was where they would find a land filled with plentiful food and clean water. The stone stopped rolling (came to a stand) on the shores of a lake. Thus, the Oneida Indians were known as “The People of the Standing Stone”. The Dutch called the Indians “Sinerka”, their word for standing stone and hence, Lake Seneca.

2011 Omaka Springs Pinot Gris, Marlborough, New Zealand
Omaka Springs Estate Pinot Gris is a rich and aromatic wine with a luscious mouth feel. It is fruit-driven, displaying nectarines, peaches, spiced pear, and a honeyed sweetness, before ending with a classic clean finish. This cool climate, Alsatian-style Gris has a bit of residual sugar to help round out the grapes natural acidity and amplify its tropical aromas. Drink with spicy foods like Asian and Mexican.

2009 Petit Caprice, Rhone Valley, France
This wine has a lovely garnet-red color, with a bouquet that expresses the fruitiness of Grenache and the power of Syrah. Round and fresh on the palate with berry fruit and licorice flavors.

2008 Lost Angel Mischief, Paso Robles, California
Loaded with aromas of jammy black fruit, black pepper, and rum raisin. Nuances of cocoa powder from the oak. Great for bbq.

2009 Chateau Haut Queyran, Bordeaux, France
An overachiever from the Medoc, this beautiful sleeper selection exhibits a dense ruby/purple color along with notes of incense, tobacco smoke, cedar, and black currants. Spicy, medium-bodied, well-concentrated, and moderately tannic, it is ideal for drinking over the next 5-10 years.

2009 Puydeval, Languedoc, France
Redolent of blueberry, this is very juicy, with notes of raspberry and crushed plum tailing off on the spicy finish. Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Merlot.

2008 Chianti Classico Savignola Paolina, Greve in Chianti, Italy
Very attractive blueberry and cherry character on a medium body, with fine tannins and a fruity, juicy finish. Drink now. 2,500 cases made.

2010 Bourgogne Chardonnay Cote Challonnais – Vignerons de Buxy, Burgundy, France
A pure taste of Chardonnay, offering apple, mineral and earth flavors. This is straightforward, balanced and moderately long. This wine showcases the purity of the fruit by aging the wine in stainless steel tanks.

2011 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett – Kerpen, Mosel, Germany
Redolent of apricot tart, with lively notes of spiced apple and ginger in the mix. The refreshing finish is crisp and pure-tasting.

2010 Sean Minor Chardonnay – Central Coast, American Canyon, California
This Central Coast Chardonnay is a golden straw color and displays aromas of pears, apples and orange blossoms with subtle notes of toast and butter. On the entry, green apple acidity integrates well with a medium body mid palate mouth feel. The apricot, green apple and marmalade toast flavors evolve into a hint of minerality that adds complexity to the finish.
